Generation One, an initiative of Minderoo Foundation, is calling all Indigenous entrepreneurs and aspiring angel investors to apply for the upcoming Dream Venture Masterclasses. Taking place in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in mid-2021, these two-day programs are dedicated to empowering Indigenous Australians with the connections, capabilities, and access to capital that they need to become investor-ready, or ready to invest.

Further info:
When and where are the masterclasses taking place?
Sydney at Fishburners (27 – 28 May), Brisbane at River City Labs (17 – 18 June), Melbourne at IE (24 – 25 June).
Who is the program for?
Indigenous Australians who are ambitious entrepreneurs, and business leaders, owners and professionals that are interested in learning to angel invest.
Why are we running these?
Indigenous Australians face unique barriers when it comes to accessing investment, and in becoming investors themselves. We want to level the playing field so that ambitious entrepreneurs and aspiring angel investors are able to raise and deploy capital. The Dream Venture Masterclass is the first program of its kind in Australia. In light of the success of our pilot program in Perth in late 2020, we are excited to roll the masterclasses out nationally across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in mid-2021.
What do the programs involve?
The masterclasses offer world-class education that is separated into two streams. The first is for entrepreneurs looking to be investor-ready, and the second is for those who would like to be ready to invest.
Through sessions with some of Australia’s best founders and investors, the participants will be equipped with the right capabilities, connections and access to capital that they need to either raise investment and scale their business venture, or to take a seat at the investment table.
